SETTING GOALS FOR 2018

Christmas has come and gone and we've all suddenly found ourselves trapped in that void between Christmas and new years, not really knowing what time or even date it is. Instead we're forced to eat a mountain of leftovers and contemplate what we've achieved (or in my case, haven't achieved) this year and
what we would love to achieve next year.
Now I know most people hate setting themselves goals and making new year resolutions but personally, I love thinking that the new year is like a new slate and its a perfect excuse to make some things in your life better!
It wasn't long a go I was writing my 2017 goals and it's only right to see if I actually completed any, right?
You can check them out here but I've also listed them:

1) Go to another country I have never been to. - YAY! first one completed. I went to Italy this year and loved it so much!

2) Achieve a good grade for first year- again! I got a first, which I am extremely happy about.

3) Meet new people- I am clearly on a roll! Being at university, you meet new people left right and centre.

4) Read 20 books- okay i definitely failed this one.

5) Be more sociable- yes!

6) Expand my blog- my blog definitely took a hit the year. I changed it up a lot but then seriously neglected it. I just find it very difficult to juggle blogging and uni and working all at once.

So without further a do, grab yourself a cup of tea and some leftover turkey and pigs in blanket (lol, as if anyone would leave those) and get ready to here my new set of goals for the year 2018!
1) Learn about balance. I want to be able to balance uni, working and blogging. Yes, university takes priority but I hate neglecting my blog and really do miss it so i need to learn how to balance.

2) Travel More. I've said travel and not 'visit another country' purely because I have not been anywhere in England apart from London and Brighton, it's about time i went out more ;)

3) Say 'No' More. This past year i have learnt a lot in terms of speaking up for my self and what I want. This next year I want to be able to say 'no' more and realise that that is okay.
4) Progress in my Fitness Journey. Again, this past year I progressed a lot in terms of fitness. I have realised I am a lot stronger than I think I am and this year I want to be the best I possibly can and perhaps be able to squat 70kg and deadlift 80kg.

5) Save some money! The end of my degree is getting closer and closer every single second and even though I have a year and a half to go, I want to have some money saved up for after I have finished.

6) Become more Mindful. Hopefully, this will be a big thing for me in 2018. I want to become a more positive and confident person and hopefully through some books and blogs, I will achieve this. (if you know of any great books and blog, please link them below.)

7) Eat ALL the Food: yeah, that's right. 2017 was definitely a year for trying new food for me. I am now a firm advocate of scrambled egg and love the odd bacon with brussel sprout. In 2018 I want to eat out more (wow, i sound greedy 😂.) but food is great and i want to eat it all!

8) Get Better at doing my Makeup. This past year I have become obsessed with makeup again, especially eyeshadow and highlight. Hopefully 2018 will be the year I perfect a killer eye look or three.

Before typing up this post I had not thought of my resolutions and i must say, I am quite proud of myself! I have gone for really broad goals so hopefully I will be able to achieve most of them.
Do you believe in making some resolutions or setting yourself goals? If so, what are they?
