GETFITWITHGEE | THREE MONTH FITNESS UPDATE

Hello! It's that time of the month again where I update you all on my fitness journey. I've done a one month and two month update and now it is time for my third month update!

I'm not going to faff around about it for too long so I am just going to jump into the bit you all want to hear. How much weight have you actually lost, Georgia? I have lost a total of 3lbs this month. 3lbs. This brings my total weight loss to 12lbs. I am really frustrated about this because my weight loss seems to just continue to  decrease month after month.

The third month of my fitness journey was one of the hardest months. I was juggling gym, working full time and going back and forth from uni all at the same time. I still managed to get to the gym at least three times a week, however, I was not eating the best I could (I discovered Pasta&Sauce (try it, it's amazing.))

STUDENT SUNDAYS | THE ULTIMATE FRESHER'S GUIDE

You've just arrived in a brand new city that you are going to call 'home' for the next few years. You're both scared and excited and you've just finished unpacking and your parents have just left you forcing you to get out of your room and talk to your new housemates. Fresher's has officially begun and I have the Ultimate Guide to Freshers right here.
Fresher's. It's one of the main reason why some people go to university but it's also one of the things that make people feel anxious, excited and dread all at the same time. You may be a hard core partier, a once/ twice a week-er, a it depends on my mood but have serious FOMO-er or it might not be your scene at all and you'd rather just stay and socialise at home. Don't fret! I have the Ultimate Fresher's Guide for you, coming right up.

FIRST THINGS, FIRST
Most universities have a freshers wristband. This is normally distributed by the student union. This is the band that allows you entry into all the freshers events.

Hello! Starting university can be a little daunting. There is so much to do in so little time but don't worry, boo, I got you. Hopefully I can relieve some of your stress with my new Student Sunday series happening right here on this blog. In this first installment, I am pleased to share with you my 'University Packing Checklist.'

So you got into university! What do you actually need, though? When I first started university I wanted to bring my whole room and kitchen with me. Luckily, I refrained from that and luckily I made a big checklist to help you all out incase you need any guidance on what to take.

NETFLIX SHOWS TO GIVE A GO #2

Hello, happy Friday! I have realised it has been a while since I last shared with you some of favourite shows that I have been watching on Netflix and on TV in general. i have compiled a short list of shows that will definitely set you up for the weekend. So if you watch Netflix on a laptop, MacBook(I just got mine and I am absolutely in love) or on a flat screen TV, like this Ultra HD TV by Panasonic, I have got you covered!

Jessica Jones
I started off by watching The Defenders for about five minutes and then a twitter user told me to watch JJ first so i did. In my first day of watching it I watched 7 episodes. Thats seven hours, I LOVE it. If the world of superheroes is short of something, it's women and Jessica Jones does a kick ass job of representing us. She is a Private Investigator with super strength. The series follows her journey into finding a 'man' of her past and of course there are complications on the way.

TWO MONTH FITNESS UPDATE! #getfitwithgee

Hello! It's been two months since I started my fitness journey and it's been one month since I posted my first month fitness update. This month bought a lot of changes to both my diet and workout plan.

During this month I have found it very difficult to lose weight. For the first two weeks I lost a total of 4lbs but then for the next two weeks I didn't lose anything. Nothing. It was very disheartening but the thing is, I could SEE changes, why weren't the scales telling me the same thing? However, seeing these changes finally gave me the push to continue. If you want to see a plethora of before and afters, make sure to follow my insta: here.

1 MONTH FITNESS UPDATE: HOW I LOST 5lbs IN ONE MONTH! #getfitwithgee

Hello guys, this week marked my first complete month since I started my fitness and weight loss journey. I thought I would start this series to not only document this journey  but also to motivate myself and hopefully to inspire you. In these types of posts I will share with you my fitness plans/ workouts of the past month and some staple meals I have been having. Without further a do, lets jump right in to my one month fitness update.

During the course of this month I have lost a total of 5lbs. I would like to have lost more, around 7lbs  but I had a lot of ups and downs involving the gym (I would miss out going for days) and also my food habits were not something to be proud of. However, 5lbs is still amazing and I am super happy that I lost it.

MY SUMMER MUST READS

With university finished, summer is finally here and so much free time has suddenly popped up. So much free time which could be spent finally getting around to reading all the books that have been on my to read list forever (check out my autumn/ winter tbr here)
I have compiled a short list, purely because these books are big and I don't want to be too optimistic, of all of the books I want to read over this summer. I've chosen big books because I doubt I will get a chance to read them next academic year so its either this summer... or next.

TURNING 20 | 20 THINGS TO DO IN MY 20s

Hello! As you know from my previous post: '19 Things I Learnt Being 19,' I recently turned 20. I cannot believe my teen years are over! Entering the next decade of my life is pretty scary as I feel as though these are the official adult years.
I'm going to quickly run down with you how my 20th birthday celebrations went (I'm not one for celebrating my own birthday so they're not too great) and then list 20 things I'd love to achieve in my 20s.

19 THINGS I'VE LEARNT BEING 19

Hello guys, it has been a while since I last sat down and wrote a post and I'll admit, it feels quite weird. But let me tell you, it feels so good to finally type something other than a lab report and I am so excited to get started blogging again.
As my 19th year on this planet draws to a close, I thought I'd do a similar thing, like I did when I was 18, and tell you 19 things I've learnt whilst being 19 (please don't judge my stupidity aha.)

1) I have a deep fear of water, which I learnt on my 19th birthday. If I can't see the bottom; I am not going in.
2) Every person is different with different traits and personalities thus they have different ways of doing things.
3) Since moving out, I've really started to enjoy cooking.

I am so pleased with my set up for this bullet journal. It shows so much change, improvement, originality and colour than my last one. I have put so much thought into this and I hope you enjoy it.

HOW TO EFFECTIVELY STUDY IN YOUR BULLET JOURNAL

Hello everyone, welcome to a brand new Bullet Journal post, which I am so excited for. As you know, this blog is heavily BuJo focused as you can see from it's own tab and the fact that all of my most popular posts are BuJo related. Did I mention they are also my favourites to write?
This post is going to be all about what the bullet journal is fundamentally for: keeping you organised. You've already seen inside this particular bujo (you can see it here, if you missed it.) Today's post is 'How to Effectively Study in Your Bullet Journal.' Oh and I've included a little freebie template for you.

Now you can follow the traditional way and just write a to-do list under each day. This is totally fine but I am more visual and I like seeing the whole month there at a glance and I want to know what subject and what topic within that subject I am doing each day. Back in May/ June last year I created to spreads that helped me achieve my goals of getting into uni. If it helped me out it can definitely help you.

HOW TO REVISE AND GET STRAIGHT As FOR A LEVELS: SCIENCE EDITION

A- levels were hands down one of the most difficult things I have ever done in my academic life. They were so difficult and require so much work and apparently they are only getting higher. If you are studying A levels at the moment, especially Chemistry, Biology or Physics, I have a guide that will help you achieve As and Bs.

RESOURCES
Before getting into those nitty gritty, knowledgeful steps, let me first tell me what you will need.
  • Textbooks: I recommend these: Biology (AS and A2,) Chemistry (AS and A2,) and Physics (AS and A2.) These CGP books are amazing and are for every exam board.
  • Pens: What else are you going to write with? I really recommend these, as they are great for colour coding your notes.
  • Good Quality Paper: you can't go wrong with a Pukka Pad and these are super cheap.
Now lets get into the steps you should follow when revising to help you get those As.

GEORGIANICOLAOU.CO.UK IS FIVE YEARS OLD!

I cannot believe I am typing this. I am so astounded that I have been writing on my tiny corner of the internet for half a decade. Saying it that way is definitely way scarier and shocking then saying five years. Honestly, I remember sitting there writing about my fourth blogger birthday like it was yesterday and my third blogger birthday like it was two days a go.
So much has changed in the past five years. I've moved house, started uni and have nearly ended my teenage years (I was fourteen when I started.) I've also grown in leaps and bounds and this past year is no exception to that statement.

SLEEK CLEOPATRA'S KISS HIGHLIGHT PALETTE REVIEW*

After watching a plethora of youtube makeup videos, I suddenly found myself obsessed with makeup again. Highlighting and contouring seem all the rage at the moment and Sleek, keeping up with the game,  have bought out their new 'Cleopatra Kiss' Highlight Palette which naturally I drooled over. The lovely people over at JustMyLook sent me it over and it is to die for!
sleek_cleopatra_kiss_highlight_palette_beauty_blog_review_marble_flatlay
Having tried and still loving their contour and blush palette, I was very excited to try this exciting new highlighter palette out. The Cleopatra Kiss Highlight Palette is Sleek's second highlight palette and I must say it is definitely my favourite out of the two.

The golden palette consists of two cream highlighters and two baked powder highlighters.
The shades are:
- Sphinx: bronze- gold powder
- Delta:  creamy bronze
- Dynasty: creamy yellow tone gold
- Goddess: champagne pink powder

NETFLIX SHOWS TO GIVE A GO

Having finished exams and basically having nothing to do, coming home I just seemed to gravitate towards my laptop and moments later I found myself binge watching Netflix. Hours passed and whoops, I have finished multiple series.

Today I thought I would add another installment to my TV Show saga and share with you all the shows I have been watching.

1) Gilmore Girls
Who hasn't been watching Gilmore Girls recently? GG follows the journey of a single mother, Lorelai and her daughter, also named Lorelai but goes by the name Rory. The show is such a cute dromedy and you'll find yourself sitting down for one episode and suddenly realising you've actually watched five!

BOOKS I'VE BOUGHT | JANUARY- FEBRUARY

It's been a very long time since I last posted a book haul on this channel and I have posted a few
Over the past couple of months I really haven't been buying any books, wanting to read the books that are in my possession first. Also, I didn't ave much time.

Alas, after a couple of months of not buying any books I finally caved a bought a few.
During my first week of exams I thought I may aswell treat myself and buy a couple of books. Wanting more Adult fiction in my life (no that is not the same as most adult themed things) I opted for The Martian and Dead To You.
