WELCOME TO BLOGMAS! I for one cannot believe it's already December; it feels like yesterday that I was participating in blogmas last year!

Whilst travelling between university and home on the train, The Diabolic was a perfect book to read on the those cold lonesome journeys.

Diabolics are man made humanoid killing machines. Set in a dystopia version of space, each elite human has a Diabolic. Nemesis is a Diabolic and she is unconditionally bonded to Sidonia Impyrean and she will guard her with her life and protect her till her last breath.
When Sidonia's father angers the Emperor, Sidonia is summoned to what only can be inferred to as her death. Sidonia's parents send Nemesis in her place. The problem is, Nemesis is a Diabolic and Diabolics were ordered to all be executed by the Emperor himself.
Nemesis is therefore thrown into a world where she is pretending to be someone she isn't. She is torn between being who she is and who she may be. Does she have a soul? Is she more human than she thinks? Well, you'll have to read it and see.

The Diabolic explores the craziness of politics (very similar to the goings on in the world now), gender equality and a little bit of space.

Overall, The Diabolic is a lovely book and I sped through it in just two one and a half hour train journeys. The book is perfect for a teenage audience and I cannot wait to read more C.J. Kincaid.

Have you read The Diabolic? What did you think of it?
