FIVE GOOD THINGS FROM 2016

First of, let me start by saying Merry Christmas! I hope you had an awesome day and ate till your hearts content.

2016, the year that most of the world wants to forget. With many things occurring globally that we rather wouldn't, I'm going to try and look on the bright side of what is undoubtedly quite a crap year so I am going to pick out Five Good Things that Happened in 2016. Bearing in mind I don't have an extensive list of 'good things that happened to Georgia in 2016,' so coming up with this list is going to be difficult.

1) I GOT INTO UNI
Yes, I did get into university last year but this year meant a but more to me because I really did try and I accept that the university I am at now is probably where I am meant to be.

2) I WENT TO ANOTHER COUNTRY
On my bucket list this year was to go to another country. I did go to Greece last year but I felt like this year I should go somewhere not associated with my culture/ background so I am so pleased I went to Bodrum and got to see more of the beauty the Earth has to offer.

3) I MOVED OUT!
For most of us going to university involves partially moving out of your family home and that is what I did. For more than a year now I have been craving a slice of freedom and space of my own and moving to uni gave me that and more. I feel as though I have become much more responsible and self aware since moving out. I wouldn't say I have become any more mature but I have a larger appreciation of everything my mum does at home. I do look forward to learning more about myself as university progresses.

4) I GOT 100,000 BLOG VIEWS
The only blog related 'good thing' on this list. I am so happy I managed to accumulate 100,000 blogviews this year! It took me 3 years to get 60,000 views and now I am over 160,000. I think I owe most of the traffic to Pinterest and Twitter, which I discovered to be a very prominent source of traffic this year.

5) MY UNIVERSITY SOCIETY
I ventured outside of my comfort zone and joined a university society. Over the past three years my confidence in the presence of people  has somehow drastically decreased, joining my society has given me so many opportunities that  I never thought I would have and has allowed me to meet some great people!

Turns out this lists wasn't as hard to make as I thought it would be. I am so glad I did this post as it has given me the opportunity to reflect back on the year; I would so recommend for you to look back!
