LIFE CHANGED FOREVER | UNI #1

I'm just going to come out and say it: I GOT INTO UNIVERSITY!
This past year, after receiving disappointing A Level results I decided to take a gap year and try to improve my grades! Despite my A levels not improving by much, I am really happy with them and the university that I am going to.

I am so excited to start this new chapter of my life that i worked so independently and incredibly hard for. I am just happy that A levels are over with! Eventhough I didn't get into the university I wanted, I've come to believe that 'whatever will be, will be,' so I am attempting to accept things now for what they are and not stress about every little thing.

SEPTEMBER BOOK HAUL!

We all love a good book haul, don't we? There's nothing like sitting down with a cup of tea and reading/ watching about new books; it's like being in a virtual coffee shop! In September I bought a few books (compared to what I normally buy.) Now just three days away from moving to university, I'm buying new books to take with me, as opposed to taking the many I already have. But hey ho, new books are new books. So let's role on with my September book haul...

'We Are All Made of Molecules' by Susin Nielsen
I'm a Chemistry student so there was no way I wasn't going to get this book! I believe it's a contemporary books about a girl and boy who meet and have a relationship (unique, i know.) I'm kidding, it's actually more interesting than that. The book is about Stewart and Ashley. Stewart's dad and Stewart are moving in with Ashley and her mum. The house is prettty awkward  and apparently it's about to get even weirder.

'Elantris' by Brandon Sanderson
I finally have a B. Sanderson physical book but omg it sticks of cigarettes and is basically falling apart but i still have one! Elantris is in another Sanderson world. Elantris, Arelon. As Elantris starts to rot a Princess arrives called Sarene, who is betrothed to Raoden but Raoden is dead but Sarene still wants to fight for the freedom of others but theres magic forces in play.

Now moving on to the books my brother gave me. I can't believe he even had books since he never reads anything.

NETFLIX SHOWS TO GIVE A GO!

Apart from working and going on a holiday for a week this summer, I have spent hte majority of my time binge watching certain shows on Netflix. Honestly, Netflix has been my saving grace from boredom this summer and I just can't believe how much I love Netflix now.

I've done a bunch of these posts before, so I've seen many more shows and if none of these are to your liking, definitely check some more out here.

ORPHAN BLACK
OMG guys, I loved this show. Tatiana Maslany is a Goddess of an actress! Orphan Black is essentially all about clones, the secret is that they don't know they're clones. These clones are being secretly watched by the government. 'Wait.' You ask: 'how do they have all these actresses that are identical?' Well, they are all played by one: Tatiana Maslany. If you're not interested in this synopsis, just check this show out for her performance.

STRANGER THINGS
Stranger Things is a paranormal/ fantasy series set in the 80s. The show is based around these four boy best friends. One of the boys, Will suddently goes missing and its up to the rest of the boys and a girl called Eleven (you'll fall in love with her) to save him from the creature that took him. Will's mum, played by Winona Ryder also joins the search along with the police chief and Will's older brother. Overall, the whole 80s theme is amazing- i love the outfits and the props and the scenes.

THE POTION DIARIES SERIES BY AMY ALWARD REVIEW | BOOK TALK #14

Hey guys! I haven't written a book review in so long and I am so happy to be bringing you a two books in one book review, all about The Potion Diaries and The Potion Diaries: Royal Tour by Amy Alward.

Going into the first book, I was very skeptical that I wasn't going to like it; thinking it was more suited to a younger tween audience. I am so happy that I was wrong.

I absolutely loved The Potion Diaries! It heavily revolves around potions, which makes me think of Chemistry (which I absolutely love.) The story follows the journey of Samantha Kemi (an alchemist) along with other alchemists in their journey to find a cure for the Princess Evelyn, who made a potion in which made her fall in love with her self!
