WHAT'S HAPPENED TO BLOGGING?

It's been brewing on my mind for a while now, the thought of how blogging has changed since I started and it really has changed. It has changed dramatically over the last couple of years. But what seems to be the main questions I hear floating around are 'What has happened to blogging?' and 'Is blogging dead?'

I remember when we all used to blog about our bargain buys and even a small jewelry item that we found on eBay. You'd then scroll down and see a bunch of interaction in the comments.
I remember when outfit posts were taken either by our mums or by our Samsung cybershots stuck on a stack of books and shoe boxes in our rooms, gardens and the only white walls in our house.
I remember blogging to have been much more inspirational and yet much more secluded back then.

So what happened to blogging?

BODRUM BEACH RESORT REVIEW

Hi guys, welcome to my first ever hotel review! I've never done one of these before but I felt as though I had to review this hotel. Most of the hotel was great but then again, most parts of the hotel were really bad. The hotel in question is: the Bodrum Beach Resort based in Bodrum, Turkey

Location: The hotel is in a prime location, with walking distance from the strip in Gumbet and walking distance from the Bodrum beach front, which possesses a bunch of beach space, restaurants and bars. In relation to Bodrum town, you have to take a cab as the town is based after a steep hill but cab fares are fairly cheap.

Facilities: The hotel has two pools. One pool is a stand alone, which is not very deep and the other consists of five waterslides.
There is also a gym and a relax lounge and pool. However, you have to access that from a different part of the hotel (quite confusing.)
In terms of WiFi; their WiFi was awful. Firstly, it was not free. Secondly, once you did pay a ridiculous price for it, the connection was so bad that it didn't even reach one of our rooms and only barely worked by the pool. Whatsapp calls with my mum only lasted about a few seconds before the connection went.

BUSY BEE STATIONERY JULY BOX UNBOXING!

I am so excited for this unboxing, you have no idea. If you know me at all, you would know I have a slight obsession with stationary and books. My latest obsession branching off of stationary is Bullet Journalling and journaling in general. I've been following Busy Bee Stationery on Instagram for so long now and their feed really makes me drool with want so when I got the chance to review their 'Spark Your Creativity' July themed box, I jumped at it with both arms and feet.

Busy Bee is a monthly subscription stationary box, one that I believe is totally unique. Shipped straight from the US, the products are totally unique and I don't think you can access these brand here in the UK.
The subscription service is $39.90 per month, which is around £30.
Now enough about that, lets get into what the box contains. The three main brands of this box are: 'Heidi Swapp,' 'Pink Paislee' and 'Amy Tangerine.' I've heard so much about these brands on Youtube and I never thought they'd be in the subscription box!

HOW TO PACK FOR YOUR HOLIDAY w/ FREE PACKING CHECK-LIST

When it comes to packing I am a dork. I make so many checklists and lists because I always get scared that I may forget something if I don't write it all down. Therefore this sometimes means I overpack and that was no exception for this holiday. I went away for a week and I packed for about three.
Avoid what I did. Avoid lugging around a 20kg suitcase all over Victoria stations stairs to Gatwick by following these simple tips and using my FREE printable checklist.
free_packing_checklist_printable

The first thing we need is a suitcase. Pick out a suitcase size that suits the length of your trip. My suitcase was so big that I felt the need to fill it and therefore packed unnecessarily.
If you are going for a week or less than, check out this medium sized suitcase, which rolls on the ground beside you: (amazon - debenhams)
If you are vacationing for longer than a week and have more things or plan to bring back more things, take a bigger suitcase: (amazon - house of fraser (on sale £54!))

1) PACK IN OUTFITS
I always pack in outfits but this year I did not. Instead I packed in singles and made my suitcase super heavy. Do you want to know what's really annoying? I didn't wear half of the things I packed.
Ideally you want 7 day time outfits, 7 night time outfits and about 3 beach outfits. Make sure some of these outfits can be swapped over, so some key items are versatile.

2) DO YOU REALLY NEED IT?
Really think about it. I packed nine skirts. Nine. I was away for seven days and I packed nine skirts. Out of those skirts I wore one. Don't make my mistake, only pack what you need. This will not only save space, it will also save weight.

19 THINGS TO DO AT 19

Hello guys, I recently turned 19 (if you haven't guessed from all of the birthday posts) and thought I'd do a mini bucket list of things I want to do in my 19th year, before I turn the big 20. I have a '21 before 21' but I definitely do want to complete more things before my teenage years end.

1) Visit a new country. This will be on every bucket list because I want to go everywhere!
2) Learn how to tread water. How do you people do it?
3) Read ALL of the Harry Potters (this is a must, while i'm still a teen!)
4) Learn how to cook a Greek dish (maybe Dolma or Kioftetes)

MY 19TH BIRTHDAY IN TURKEY!

For the past three years, I have always blogged about my birthday and given a little OOTD and this year is going to be no different. Actually this year is going to be a bit more special because I celebrated my birthday in a foreign country for the first time ever! I went to Turkey on the 24th June and the 25th of June was my 19th birthday, here's what I got up to:
The hotel we were staying at was all inclusive (thank god) so I overdosed on pancakes and then we all went to go on a boat trip. The boat trip was really fun despite realising that I am absolutely dire at treading water and nearly drowned a max of five times. We visited about four different sea locations near Bodrum all of which had beautiful clear waters.
We came home after being rocked on a boat for seven hours, had some dinner and then got ready to go out. All of my outfit is Boohoo! I love the asymmetric skirt as it makes my legs look longer than they really are and then headed out to the strip, which is in Gumbet. The strip was very lively. We literally got drinks handed to us left, right and center (we never paid for drinks on a night out!)

Overall, my 19th birthday was really lovely and different to any other birthday I have ever had. Those of you who live in hot countries really are lucky, you can do so much on your birthdays!

18 THINGS I LEARNED IN MY FIRST YEAR OF ADULTHOOD

Lat year, I finally turned 18 and I was SO happy about that. I finally would have more freedom and would be able to do what I want, as that's what 18 year olds do, right? Well... I was wrong. I was wrong about a lot of things really but I was right about some! Here are the top 18 things I learned from my first year of adulthood!

  1. Being an adult really isn't what I expected it to be.
  2. The cheapest ways to get from A- B, since I now have to pay for travel.
  3. You suddenly have responsibilities in the form of bills.
  4. Eventhough I have the power to vote, I know it won't change anything but voting for change is a lot of pressure.
