4 LITTLE WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR BLOG

Aloha! I am one exam away and one day away from finishing A-levels forever! I am so excited for summer! As soon as exams finish I will be on a plane for my holiday and then a day after that-it's my birthday so summer is going to start of really good.

Today's post is going to be a little guide on 4 little ways you can improve your blog. If you're like me, you are constantly looking for new ways to improve your blog.  Also, if you're not really tech and html savvy, like me, these tips are petty straight forward and involve NO coding #bonus.

I've found that when I applied these tips to my blog, the duration that people stayed on my increased dramatically, which ended up me building a better bounce rate and readership. So let's jump in:

1. COLOUR SCHEME
Choose a colour scheme and stick to it. Your blog should realistically only consist of a maximum three colours (not including your photos.) Having more than three colours makes the blog look very busy and it's hard for readers to concentrate on your writing. Try to stick to two/ three colours that match.

2. CLEAN SIDEBAR
Again, your blog should be clean. Having a busy sidebar is very confusing and unwelcoming. Try breaking up the busy widgets with clean widgets, if you still want to include them.

3. LARGE IMAGES
One of my biggest pet peeves is small images. Make your images big! They'll both attract more readers and really improve your blog as it will look more professional.

4. DOUBLE CHECK YOUR SPAG
Yes, we are back in GCSE English. Checking your spelling, punctuation and grammar will improve your blog immensely. SPAG checks make sure your blog posts flow which makes your readers want to read more. When posts are poor in SPAG most readers will not continue reading, let alone return!

So those are my top '4 Little Ways to Improve your Blog.' I have many other blog tips and tricks to further help you improve your blog, these were mostly aesthetically based apart from checking you SPAG.
