MY TOP 5 BLOGGING REGRETS

We all have a lot of regrets and we all have a lot of blogging regrets, some have more than others. I've been blogging for four years now so I have built up my fair share of blogging regrets. I wrote a '10 Things I Wish I Knew Before I Started Blogging' post but that was just in general things, so I thought I would delve more deeper and share My Top 5 Blogging Regrets.

Many of these range from my actual blog, social media and blogging and blogging relationships.

1) Not being active on Twitter since Day One.
I've had twitter longer than I have had this blog and I wish I shared my blog sooner, but I was too scared. Twitter is such a great tool for growing your blog and expanding it's audience and I wish I did it sooner because my blog could have been one hundred yards ahead of what it is now and I could have formed stronger blogger relationships, which I really struggle to do now.

2) Pressing 'Publish' on Posts I am Not Too Proud of:
In the beginning I put so much effort into every single post and I was proud of all of them. I thin got into my second year of blogging (first year of college) and my posts really started slacking in quality. I was posting more often but I really wasn't 100% proud of the content I was posting and that is a really big blogging regret of mine as now I need to be 100% proud and okay with my post before clicking 'publish.'

3) Not having Bloglovin' Sooner
When I started blogging, GFC was still going very strong. After about a year, a year and a half, GFC was reportedly going to be axed and everyone suddenly jumped onto Bloglovin, including myself but instead of promoting it I just had it, very small in my sidebar. Nowadays, GFC is practically non existent and how good your blog is seems to be dependent on your Bloglovin following, which I don't agree with but that's how it is.

4) Having a Standard Blogging Template
Another blogging regret of mine is not buying a professional template sooner. My blog has had so many faces in the past four years and having a clean, professional blogging template really sets apart your blog from others and makes people want to stay on it.

5) Not Creating a Blog Instagram Account since Day One:
Once again, I wish I had an Instagram account for GeorgiaNicolaou from day one. Eventhough my blog's name changed a lot my blog would have grown greatly with Instagram. Like Twitter, Instagram is a key social media site which has the potential to drive a magnitude of traffic to your blog.

I do have some other blogging regrets but they're nothing to type about, really. I have learnt a lot from my top 5 blogging regrets and I am aiming to fix them. I am really working on my Instagram and Twitter at the moment and make sure that all of my post are 100% okay and proud to post.
So I leave you with the question: do you have any blogging regrets? If so, what are they?
