Hello guys, today's post is going to be about the five types of blogs I read and follow. I have written posts on the things I wish I knew when I started blogging and how to get over your fear of starting a blog but I've never shared what I love in a blog.
Some categories will literally be certain types of blogs (eg. beauty) but others will be more about what they have to offer. These aren't all the reasons why, but they are the biggest.

I am not really a blog discriminator, I just know what I look for in blogs and I know what I like to follow. In no way, shape or form am I telling you to upgrade your blog to these standards and you'll gain followers because this is what I like and look for... so if you do upgrade, you'll probably gain myself as a follower.

1) Lifestyle blogs with Unique Content (recipes, travel diaries, etc.)
Lifestyle blogs are my most favourite blogs to read. The topic of lifestyle is so broad and you can write about anything. I love hearing about people's experiences, what their life is like, where they visit, what they plan on doing... yes I am extremely nosey.

2)The Occasional Book Post
I love reading. I read just about anything from dystopian to magic(?) to fairytale retellings. So if you do have the occasional book review or monthly wrap up, consider yourself followed.

3) Good Quality Pictures
It is such a shame when a blogger has a really good blog but their images are all blurry and out of focus. I'm really trying to work on my images and make them as best as I can with editing as images are the thing that attract people to read you posts.

4) Good Humour
I love blogs with a personality. So many people have blogs and the fact that you are showing your personality and funniness in your writing sets you out from the rest and makes me want to follow you.

5) Honesty
There is nothing better than an honest blogger. Reviews are so untrustworthy these days, especially if the item has been sent to the blogger via a company. If I see a blogger who is giving a negative review about a product, I trust them so much more. However, if they really do like the product and give a great review, you know they are honest by the way they are writing. Honesty is the best policy and also the best way to build a loyal following, which would probably include myself.

I do have a few more blog types I follow but these were the top five. Maybe I'll do a part two or a 'Five Types of Blogs I DON'T Follow.' I hope you enjoyed this post. I'd love to hear the reason why you would follow a blog!
