DIARY | JANUARY 2016

January. I really don't like the month of January; it's just a massive expectation that eventually leads to disappointment. I feel as though we all have so many things that need to be accomplished in January and most of us don't do any of it.. at all.

January was both good and bad for me...

January was brilliant for me in terms of blogging; I blogged every single day of the month. This was a huge accomplishment for me as  last year and the year before, I averaged around one a week, I now feel as if I should blog everyday for the rest of the year (omg that's 366 posts.) I do love the fact that I have been blogging daily, though as my traffic has quadrupled!

BLOG BACK #1

Hi guys, I hope you are all doing great. You know that feeling when you have eaten something you know you really shouldn't have and you just feel sick? Yeah? I am experiencing that right now.

If you've been blogging for a very long time, you know you have a HUGE ARCHIVE. I always feel a bit sad when a good post has been buried underneath so many other ones. SO, today I am going to be delving through my archive and finding hidden gems that need a bit more love and really relate to my blog at the moment!

The REAL first blogging from my bath post, all the way back from 2013. This bath bomb is so beautiful and it literally looked so amazing in my bath. I think it's so going but there is a big chance that it has been discontinued, which will be a real big shame because it is my all time favourite bath bomb.

BLOGS I'VE BEEN LOVING IN JANUARY

Hey guys! I cannot believe January is already nearly over! So far this year I have really gotten into blogging again (I have even blogged everyday of the year so far!) One thing I love especially is reading new blogs both for inspiration and the face that these people's blogs are amazing!

I have found so many new bloggers this month thanks to twitter and facebook. If you don't follow the #BloggingGals and #TheGirlGang hashtags on twitter, i seriously suggest you should as I have found the majority of these blogs from there.

LIFESTYLE + DIARY | A QUOTE I LIVE BY #ARCHIVEREVAMP

The NB in italics will be my view point on it now and how my ideas have all developed. (24/01/2016)
The normal font will be my viewpoint from 09/01/2014

'Be Yourself; Everyone Else is Already Taken,' is a quote I most defintely live by every single day. The quote is by Oscar Wilde, who is kind of my favourite classical philosopher quote person.

NB: If you have  been following my blog for a while, you will know that I have actually already written this post. I was reading a post on Elle&Co about revamping old blog posts because there are ALWAYS hidden gems in your archives that need a bit of love and updating. I also feel as if I can really expand on this post now that I am two years older and have experienced a few more things.

When i first heard the quote, I was in the stage where I thought I was not good enough and my personality will not mix with the group of people i wanted to mix with. I thought I had to change myself just to fit in. That was until, I saw this quote (following a tad bit of maturing.)

NB: I was actually in my last year or two of secondary school and I felt as if I just didn't fit in with anyone. I felt really out of place and I felt awful about my weight, my appearance and other people's attitudes and thoughts about me.

THE FIVE REASONS WHY I READ YOUR BLOG

Hello guys, today's post is going to be about the five types of blogs I read and follow. I have written posts on the things I wish I knew when I started blogging and how to get over your fear of starting a blog but I've never shared what I love in a blog.
Some categories will literally be certain types of blogs (eg. beauty) but others will be more about what they have to offer. These aren't all the reasons why, but they are the biggest.

I am not really a blog discriminator, I just know what I look for in blogs and I know what I like to follow. In no way, shape or form am I telling you to upgrade your blog to these standards and you'll gain followers because this is what I like and look for... so if you do upgrade, you'll probably gain myself as a follower.

LAST 6 PICS ON MY PHONE

I am literally on the biggest lifestyle blogging wave I have ever been on in my blogging life. I just seem to be writing post after post after post, all about lifestyle. Therefore it is only natiral I bring to you another lifestyle post.

Today I am going to be sharing with you the last six pictures on my phone. These are honestly the last six pictures and as you will see they are mostly embarassing selfies. I promise you I am not much of a selfie taker but I was really feeling those Snapchat filters (enters cheeky self promo, @georgianicolaou on snapchat.)

'Snow.' Yeah, it 'snowed' in London in the last couple of days. Literally everywhere else in the UK had a lovely deal of snow (that was a hyperbole btw) apart from us. To be honest, I don't know why I'm complaining because I had to go to work that day and I'd rather walk to work without snow, thank you very much.

FIVE LITTLE WAYS YOU CAN MAKE SOMEONE'S DAY

Hey guys, Happy Sunday! Today's post is going to be about the little things you can do to cheer someone up and make their day. I'm writing this post purely because it is Monday tomorrow and that in itself brings a fresh dose of Monday Blues.. on top of everyone's daily stresses.
I've been thinking about this list for around an hour now and it is quite hard to come up with unique things. Some people think that it is the material things such as buying someone a diamond ring or a fancy car, that would make people happy; it's not. Most people, including myself are just happy with communication.

BOOK TALK #12 | ONLY EVER YOURS BY LOUISE O'NEILL: FIRST READ OF 2016

Hey guys, I have spoken about this book on my blog about three times now. There is a perfectly good reason for that: it was amazing.
Only Ever Yours was my 'out of my comfort zone' book for the TBRTakedown,

The dystopian YA novel was not out of my comfort zone because it is dystopian, I have read a tonne of that, it's because I heard it was very creepy it dealt with issues that I've never read about before.

MY BIGGEST REGRET

Hello guys, I thought I'd share with you a very different post to what I normally share with you here on my blog. Today I am going to be talking about my biggest regret. I found it so tricky when thinking about regrets and associated it with embarrassing moments but alas I came up with my regret.

This is not going to get very deep because I don't think I am old enough and experienced enough to have one big regret.... Having said that I do have a chain or regrets.
Are you ready? Let me just brace you. Okay I am just building it up no. My biggest regret is....

TV SHOWS TO GIVE A GO #3

Hello fellow TV addicts, well Netflix addicts /Putlocker addicts, I've previously made two other 'TV Shows To Give A Go: #1 and #2 and thought I'd write another one of what I am watching at the moment. This season on 'TV Shows To Give A Go' we have a wide variety. From Sci-Fi to drama to comedy, I seem to be watching it all, despite my ever growing pile of revision.
Click here to see all of my 'TV SHOWS TO GIVE A GO' posts.

1) Teen Wolf.
Finally, one of my favourite shows is back on the internet. why the UK doesn't watch this show is beyond me. All I can say to you is that Werewolves, Banchees, Hell Hounds and very, very fit boys (hello, Dylan O'brien) makeup this TV show. Okay, I made it sound very bad but its so action packed and the story lines are very weird and surprising.

I have learned so much blogging tips and tricks, great workouts and i swoon over all the bedrooms and hairstyles. If you have Pinterest you can follow me here! THE 16 MUST READ BOOKS OF 2016

Hello, everyone.
I'm writing another book post *hooray!* Book posts are honestly one my favourite type of post to both read and write. Today's topic is 16 that are a must read for me in 2016. I already own mostly all of these books (apart from two,) so they are all out in stores.
I'd also like to point out that these books range in genre but the majority are YA.
THRONE OF GLASS, HEIR OF FIRE, A COURT OF MIST AND FURY all by SARAH J MAAS
The first two books are the first in the Throne of Glass series which is about a bad ass female assassin. I've spoken so much about this series. eg. here and I cannot wait to finally read it.
ACOMAF is the prequel to ACOTAR which I absolutely loved and cannot wait to see what happens to Feyre. I am Team Tamlin, btw,

CURRENT READS: #TBRTAKEDOWN TBR

Hey guys, I am not too sure on how to start this post so I am just going to jump right in.
As we speak, many (we may be talking hundreds) of people are participating in a readathon. For those of you who do not know what a readathon is, it is basically a couple of days, this one being seven days, where you read as much as you can.
TBRTakedown is specifically designed to diminish your 'to be read' pile. It's still currently running and ends January 10th at midnight. It's really fun and there are a bunch of challenges. I did do a video about what I will be reading but I also thought I'd share it with you guys, too.
RELATED POSTS: DECEMBER BOOK HAUL / 16 BOOKS TO READ IN 2016 / ACOTAR REVIEW
Here are the challenges, some of which I doubled together and the books I will be reading for them:

A book from a recent haul and the start of a series. For these two challenges, I chose Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas. I am so excited to read this book! All I know is that it is about a female assassin. I also know that this series is so hyped and the Maas writes amazingly. She actually wrote one of my favourite books from last year: A Court of Thorns And Roses (click here for that.)

FIRST WEEK OF 2016 | LIFE LATELY #1

Hello cutie pies,
omg, please don't ask me why I just typed that. Anyway, this is my seventh consecutive post this year and we are only on the seventh day of the year! #gome. I plan to blog everyday of this year (hopefully, fingers crossed for me.)
I thought I'd take a look back on 2016 so far and just reminise on it. I also decided to ditch the instagram updates because I cannot keep those up weekly and 'life lately,' just sounds better, too'
Just before 2016, so on the 31st it was my friends birthday and despite this photo not being taken in 2016 it was still posted so hey ho.
2016, so far, has involved a lot of trips to Central London, which means my Oyster Card has had more money deposited from it than a small bank. Oh an in other news this week, travel prices have increased. Thanks TFL :D.

10 THINGS I WISH I KNEW WHEN I STARTED BLOGGING

Hey guys, today I am going to be doing a sort of follow up posts from my 'HOW TO OVERCOME THE FEARS OF STARTING A BLOG' post and list the things I wish I knew when I started blogging, so newbie bloggers wont make similar mistakes. I know that there are a lot of these posts on the internet but they are all a bit personal and each are are different. So without further a do, here we go....

1) Day Light is Your Friend: I wish I knew this when I started blogging because my photo game would have been 1000x better, which would have made my blog 1000x better. Nothing can be day light/ natural light, no matter how much editing you do.

HALF BAD BY SALLY GREEN REVIEW | BOOK TALK #11

Hey guys! It's currently 11.42 pm on the 29th of December and I just finished reading Half Bad by Sally Green. This will probably be my last read of 2015 and let me just say, it was absolutely amazing. I have never read anything like it.

Debuting as a UKYA first novel from author Sally Green, I must say I am so impressed. The story is told in five parts, each having a different setting. We have Nathan in the present, in a cage, in part one and then his explanation in the past, of how he got to the cage in part two. Then the other parts are told in the present.

HOW TO OVERCOME THE FEAR OF STARTING A BLOG

Happy New Years, guys! I hope you had an awesome day and have a brilliant year ahead.
Recently i've been getting a few emails from young girls who really want to start a blog but are scared to due to the fact that they don't want other people to know, as they may react negatively.
I've put together some of the reasons, mentioned in their emails, as to why they fear to start a blog and my ways to overcome these. Hopefully, this will inspire you to start your blog in 2016!

'How do I keep it a secret for a while?'
As many of you know, I started my blog way back in 2012, when i was just fifteen and no one knew about it for a good two years. Some of my friends knew about it a year or so in but they didn't say anything.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016! WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO.

Hello people of the interwebs! We are officially in 2016. How did that even happen? To be honest, I wish it was 2006 again and we can all watch High School Musical again for the first time. Buuuut that's not going to happen so HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016!
I hope you all had a safe and fun New Years Eve and your hangover is not too bad.

I know I have already written a post on my 2016 resolutions but I thought about it even more and came to the conclusion that I suck at resolutions: why do I even do them? Click here to see what a fail I was with last years. Although I love making resolutions because lists are life, I'd much rather set myself goals for things that may or may not happen. If I don't achieve them that's fine because they're not really resolutions just goals. Here are some of them:
