A New Direction

So these past few months...
...i'm talking around six, seven months now, I've been feeling a kind of sluggishness towards my blog and writing any posts.
I feel as if my posts aren't 'me' anymore. I feel wrong sitting down and writing a beauty post, when i really dont have much to say on the topic and i'm not really that interested. Don't get me wrong, if i really like the product, I will review it. However, beauty just does not interest me as much as it did before. I remember sitting down and beginning this blog and I constantly wrote about mascaras and lipsticks and eyeshadows as it was something I was obsessed with! I am still obsessed with fashion, as you can see from the magnitude of posts on the topic this past year but beauty has taken a seat in boot.

I guess what I am trying to say is...
...I don't want to be a beauty blogger anymore. I don't want to write about a lipstick that is pretty ordinary and not well loved- I am pretty sure the younger teen in me is screaming at me for this. I just don't want to carry on writing about something i am not interested in.

So what's the new direction, you ask?
I want to write more about what interests me. I love blogging about my life, my adventures and of course fashion.I also love blogging about little things like: my favourite books, fitness, albums, food, stationary and other knick knacks.  I am going to try and put more effort into taking amazing photographs and producing amazing quality for both this blog and my youtube channel. I guess this means my blog is pretty much a lifestyle and fashion blog, now!

Book Talk #7: Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell #firstread2015

ill apologise first for the awful picture :(

Hey guys, I hope you are all doing well! So i recently finished my first book of 2015 and that was Rainbow Rowell's Eleanor and Park. OMG guys, i loved, loved to the moon and back, this book. I was at first skeptical to jump into it because I thought she may be another John Green for me (way too hyped and overrated,) but i was amazingly proven wrong.
I now totally agree with anyone when they say Rainbow Rowell is the QUEEN of contemporary. Having this to be the only Rainbow Rowell book I have read, I was blown away by the writing. I felt as if I could relate to both Eleanor and Park, in different ways, which doesn't normally happen for me. I love how Eleanor is not the person who people would think would get a guy, and she does! You go, Big Red.
I also loved all the issues dealt with in this book. I was, mouth hangingly, shocked at the end when Eleanor put together all the pieces and found out what was happening with her step dad. The book dealt with other issues, too such as bullying, teen romance, abuse and 'predation' (i guess you could say.)

Overall, the book was amazing and just blew me away. 5000/5!

OH and if you guys have read this book, what do you think the 'three words' are?

Happy New Year! What do I want to acieve in 2015?

Happy New Year 2015 everyone! I hope you guys had an amazing new year! Despite not seeing any fireworks, I was still able to do the countdown in Leicester Square, which was brilliant.
This is my second year doing this post and if you want to see the post from last year click here.

So from my last post you will know that I achieved 4.5 out of 5 resolutions, however, this year I want to go all on out and achieve every single one. I thought I'd share some with you:

1)Be consistent with revision so I can get into the university I want to go to.
2)Be consistent in both my blog and youtube.
3)Read 30 books.
4) Travel to another country.
5)Go more outside of my comfort zone...
6)...but also be more of myself.
7)Get back on and continue my weight loss journey.
8) Be more positive.
9) Pass my driving test.
10) Get A level grades that I am proud of.
11) Expand my blog to the best it can be.
12) Don't let things stress me out too much.

So those are a few of my New Years Resolutions. I hope you guys have an amazing year, that kicks last year in the butt! Also, I would love to here some of your New Year Resolutions, if you have any- even if they are from three years ago!
